"I stayed in a Suite, it was very nice BUT the only weird thing was the coffee station was placed in the bedroom! Inconvenient, to disturb the person sleeping, if your up early and want coffee."

"This is a fairly basic small motel. The room was small but adequate with two queen beds. It had a well-used look but was very clean and everything was in good condition except for the TV which we could not get to work. There was a microwave and a small refrigerator, plenty of drawers and hanging space but only one coat hanger! The A/C unit was acceptably quiet, but we did not need to use it for long as there was also a large ceiling fan that did the job. There was an unusually generous amount of lighting. There are two parking slots at the front (flight of steps up to the entrance) and four in the alley at the back with level access, accessed from Fourth Street. There are comfortable patios with chairs and tables front and rear. Excellent breakfasts may be taken at the Crown Inn one block west. The most curious feature of the motel is this: We stayed four nights without ever encountering a member of staff. On arrival the office was locked and there was a notice with a phone number. I called it and spoke with a very pleasant gentleman named Fred who processed my payment and texted me a code for the office door so that I could obtain my room key. There are plenty of spare supplies in the office such as paper cups, coffee pods, toilet tissue etc., guests just help themselves. Our room was efficiently and thoroughly serviced each day while we were out but we never saw who did it. On checkout we simply dropped the key into a lock box."

"The property was well maintained. Nice pool area, bikes you can use, coffee and delicious cookies! The room was really nice with a very comfortable bed. So helpful to have parking...and there were no parking fees. Shout out to Colton, Keith, and Linda at the front desk. Helpful, kind and very knowledgeable about the area and San Diego. The housekeeping crew kept us well supplied. We'll be back!"
