"Understand this hotel was built in 1904. It probably could use some updates, but as a overall property, it is fantastic. You are close to absolutely everything in Monterey, including blocks away from the old fisherman’s wharf, plenty of conveniences, bars, restaurants, coffee, shops, close by that you really don’t have to go outside the area. The staff was incredibly helpful and met our every need when we asked. When I go back to Monterey, I will not stay anywhere else."

"We stayed on the cannery row side of the building. We had a cool huge picture window that had a padded bench. I took my gbaby on a little coastal get away. We hung out in the picture window for hours reading books and watching all the people. The fire place was great and the service was amazing. The building is older but we loved the atmosphere. We played at the little beach that is directly behind the hotel. We will stay again. Breakfast was light but enough. The Valet parking was efficient and fast. We also went to the Aquarium which was fun. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were perfect."
