"Conveniently located, easy to walk around. Sea lions right there and able to view from the balcony. However, there is no air conditioning and we slept with the slider doors open. Which was nice to hear the water lapping, the sea lions barking and having the fresh air circulating. Luckily the weather was beautiful. Parking was a little in the tight side especially for a SUV."

"Understand this hotel was built in 1904. It probably could use some updates, but as a overall property, it is fantastic. You are close to absolutely everything in Monterey, including blocks away from the old fisherman’s wharf, plenty of conveniences, bars, restaurants, coffee, shops, close by that you really don’t have to go outside the area. The staff was incredibly helpful and met our every need when we asked. When I go back to Monterey, I will not stay anywhere else."
