I arrived early (2pm), staff reminded me that checking in was 3 pm. No worries I'll wait in Reception From 2.30 onward I watched a succession of people check in, none turned away. So at 3pm exactly I checked in and asked how long they would have left me waiting next to the desk if I hadn't re-approached. No-one likes troublesome guests so I guess that's why I got the room with no heating. Too cold to shower, frosty staff. not a great experience... I've stayed at the HI on Liverpool (Road?) about half a mile away recently and cannot praise there staff highly enough.

This hotel is in desperate need of updates and repairs. The front desk staff are helpful enough but we had alot of issues, had to change rooms and the new room had just as many problems. The air conditioning, TVs, toilets etc are all in poor condition and a lot aren’t working at all. There are a lot of hotels in the area, I wouldn’t stay here.

One night stay after a visit to old Trafford for a football game. Area is nice and hotel is located well for stadium. Lots of restaurants around and easy access to other areas of Manchester. Staff in the hotel were friendly and really helpful. Hotel clean, tidy and well equipped. Some areas of our room could have done with a refresh but overall a good standard. Breakfast was good and we left happy with our experience.
