Hotels near Runnymede Air Forces Memorial

"Located near Heathrow and next to Thames River which is a wonderful walk in the evening. We saw beautiful homes, swans and other wildlife. Find the McDonald’s and you have the Main Street for shopping and restaurants. It’s a five minute walk. Uber drivers have no problem finding the hotel. We used them going from and to Heathrow. Comfortable bed. A little moldy in the bathroom but could be because there is no ventilation in that room. "

"This is an extraordinary property – one of a kind. For anyone interested in or pleased by historic milieux this is a must-stay hotel. Features in the grounds date to Anglo-Saxon times and the main building to Tudor times. Even the 1930's changing huts by the pool are heritage-designated. Most of the staff were also excellent, notably the cheerful, accommodating receptionists (we needed an electric space heater as the weather was so unseasonably cold that the ordinary room heating system couldn't cope – this heater was delivered to our room with many apologies). The lads running the cocktail bar were also friendly. "

"Beware of hotels that book large conference groups. There were two large groups, one that partied outside our window until midnight. We could not access our original rooms as the lift was broken and my 89 year old mother could not go up the stairs. The receptionist was more interested in checking out the split ends in her hair than she was in trying to accommodate us with new rooms. When they finally did give us rooms, we had to haul five suitcases, a car seat, a two year old and my Mom in her walker by ourselves. Disgraceful. "

"Reception desk minimal, breakfast good. Clerk had trouble finding my reservation, then asked for my passport, then settled for driver's licence (but why?)."

"I was a nice break for 2 nights to unwind outdoor pool was open so a bonus as sun was out. Good food all round."

"The whole stay was underwhelming -Poor check-in experience -Spa very average ok massage but no way is the price justified I booked for our anniversary not worrying about the price thought it would be special it wasn’t had a better massage at local Thai shop for £60 - Bar poor choice beers local unheard of stuff tasted of nothing want him and tonic expected at least a final 5 Star hotel to have good tonic ie fevertree or Schweppes nope some london essence stuff nothing like tonic water -Food for lunch little choice ended up with flat bread which could have been frozen from a supermarket so poor was quality - Dinner even worse a real lack of choice ended up with pasta dish which had very little taste - Breakfast was worse why is 5 star hotel doing Buffett cold overcooked food and since when does English breakfast only have American style streaky bacon ?? Coffee was tasteless and I ran out of patience waiting for my toast to cook - The best part was the doorman welcome and departure nice experience I guess from that you’ll gather I won’t be back to any Fairmont forever in my mind as overpriced for average experience "
