Purdy Lodge

"From the minute we set foot in the door, we were made to feel welcome. The staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them at any hour. The food was delicious for the 4 breakfasts and 3 evening meals we ate there. I would stay at Purdy Lodge again and I'd suggest it to anyone who is planning on visiting Northumberland. Although, the hotel was literally on the A1, there was very little noise at the back of the hotel where we stayed. The hotel was ideally situated for local sites/towns of interest including Bamburgh, Seahouses, Alnwick etc. We would definitely advise others to visit the Purdy Lodge and would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for making our 10th anniversary holiday amazing."

"We loved to stay at Hillcrest bed-and-breakfast it’s absolutely amazing place few steps away from Bamburgh Castle. The stuff was caring and responding to every our need or questions. Breakfast is excellent at this place every morning freshly cooked classic British breakfast."

"Booked the room thinking it was B&B but isn't - it's room only - but that was my oversight. Pleased it happened tho as wouldn't have booked and would've missed out on a fantastic stay. The room is spacious and well equipped with everything you could want including mini-fridge and even binoculars - very handy given the massively panoramic view from the balcony. Very comfy Super-king size bed and a roomy, spotless and modern en-suite. All superb but it's the balcony that made it - what a view! If you want breakfast, go into Seahouses and get one there - they've got a list of venues. But don't let that put you off as this is a wonderful place to stay and great value for the facilities you get. Absolutely recommended and will be back."
