"We stayed for 3 nights in the Hetton bedroom. Very clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. Just the pillows that I didn’t get on with. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice both hot and cold. On two of our three evenings we ate in the inn and the food was great, cannot fault any of it. Lovely, friendly staff. Great position for travelling to all the sights in Northumberland. We will definitely stay again."

"The staff were very obliging and helpful, always smiling and approchable. Pleasant lovely to my two bichons always took time to fuss them. A large green to walk my dogs. The premises were clean and tidy. Parking was excellent 👌. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and plenty of it, a good selection. First time I've used Purdy Lodge, but will certainly use it again. Very reasonably priced also. Also looked out onto green fields. The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles on TV. Difficult as I am deaf. But a throughly enjoyable stay. Regards Marlene 👍👌🐩🐩🐾🐾"

"Ideal location-Parking was a bit of a problem when we arrived mid-afternoon but eventually found a spot near the village green. The room was comfortable -although I wouldn't exactly call it a 'seaview' more of a sea glimpse. The breakfast was fabulous, plenty to choose from and served up by Mark-the lovely, friendly host."

"A lovely rural setting, 20 minute walk from Bamburgh, 5 minutes in the car. Plenty of parking, although the ‘10 steps to door’ wasn’t quite accurate. Yes for unloading & loading, but the parking area was a little further. The Hayloft was very well equipped and comfortable although the dining chairs had seen better days - cushions on the seats solved that. Lovely to have the hot tub available after a couple of boat trips in inclement weather. Unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to play table tennis or make use of the pods, but great facilities to have on site. It would have been helpful for the ‘resort’ name of Bamburgh First be somewhere on the paperwork - 2 Dukesfield Cottages is nowhere to be found!"
