Our stay at the Comfort Double Room was great. Beds were comfortable, bathroom had all the essentials and the room was spacious. The staff was very responsive over whatsapp and the check-in instructions were extremely clear and detailed! :) The only negative during our stay was really loud music from the neighboring restaurant on a Friday night. But that's just part of the Italy experience.

A little gem in Rome

Really nice stay at this hotel. The owner/manager was really helpful answering any questions quickly and effectively. The air conditioning was a little bit ineffective, but this may have been due to extreme temperatures experienced. Location was good, close to main attractions but also quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

This was the perfect place to build our Rome trip around! It was quiet, affordable, and cleaner than any other place we stayed during our longer trip. Staff was also incredible helpful, and the self-check-in process made it easy to get settled even after a long flight that got in quite late. There were other Monti49 guests staying on the same building floor as us, but we never had any issues with noise. Highly recommend for couples or small families!

My daughter and I stayed here for her Senior trip. We loved Monti. It's a great neighborhood. The accommodations are small, but small compared to America - I've stayed in smaller European places. This was perfect for us, and we really didn't explore Monti until later in our stay. We are headed back for one more day before we fly home, and we'll probably spend all of it in Monti. The neighborhood is centrally located. There are two restaurants right by the place, and if you go up or down the street, you'll find even more! Shopping too. Everyone from Monti49 was very nice as well.

I booked the comfort room with a double & a single bed but only got double. The owner blamed it on Expedia but it’s clearly listed. The room was clean and good location but SO noisy from above til 4am a party? And then arguments…and from 4 the noise came from below, a lot of banging. Not recommended for that reason.

We stayed at this property for 4 nights last week. Pre-arrival we were contacted regarding the self check in procedure which was very clear and we had no problems following it. The room was clean and comfortable. We were very impressed by the toiletries which had a lovely smell. Coffee and a selection of teas were provided and a jug to heat up the water although we didn’t use it. Also there was a fridge in the room but we did have to unplug it due to the noise it made. Location was great, within walking distance from Termini and lots of lovely restaurants and bars nearby. We would definitely recommend staying here and would have no hesitation returning.

The Room was grossly misrepresented as a beautifully renovated space. this is not the case it was dirty, old & the toilet ran ALL night. Monti Guest house was very unhelpful and refused any credit at all.

This was a well situated property for people that like walking. We easily walked from the train station Roma Termini to the accommodation. We also walked to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, Loved it.

We had a good experience at Monti 49! The rooms were simple but comfortable and a good location to spend a few days hitting the highlights in Rome. We didn’t realize that the guesthouse didn’t have a front desk or staff on site but we were able to communicate pretty well with the staff via What’s App.

Could not have the windows open because the garbage trucks came 2am and 5 am and picked up garbage right outside the window. Also people on the street were loud almost all night.

The room was clean and tidy and in a nice area. Walkable to many sights like the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and a quick 10-15 minute walk to Roma Termini to train to the airport and other cities. The main issue I had was with late night noise from other people in the building who came home at midnight and partied until 3am. The bed was also quite hard and some pillows were quite lumpy. If you’re a light sleeper who wakes up easily I would recommend a different place. Overall good experience!
