"While it is not walkable to town, it is a beautiful, quiet, secluded oasis with a lovely garden, spectacular birds and an incredibly warm and helpful staff who helped us order dinner to be delivered and made us one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. "The hotel manager was amazing. I broke my phone while traveling and he was able to let me use his phone so I could get to my next destination. He was very attentive and gave me suggestions on things to do locally. My favorite part about the hotel was the pool. It has an amazing view and I was the only one at the pool! Highly recommend."

Villa San Ignacio

10/10 Excellent

"I felt so welcome the moment I walked onto the property. It’s a very secure place and I felt very safe, especially as a female, solo traveler. The check in was very easy and the kind security guard helped me to my room. Jennifer (I believe her name is) is extremely sweet and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. Everyone was so nice! The restaurant staff is so attentive and very efficient with the food orders. I was so happy to enjoy the free breakfast, the pool, and the wonderful room. Everything was very clean and organized. I wish to return soon! This will be my first choice for hotels in San Jose :) Muchas gracias!!"

"The blinds were so thin you can see inside the rooms. The door had no locks from the inside. Ants were always everywhere even at dinner time. Only one sweet lady who did an amazing job running the entire place and it seemed like I was the only one there at the time. This spa is not a good place too stay. Not even an iron or air conditioner was in the rooms at all either and list goes on. Stay away!"

"I loved being in the mountains in nature. Beautiful property. There are bugs birds and even a chipmunk, lovely view. Simple Breakfast was included. A bit far from the city. Wifi was down when i arrived but i had backup. I would totally go back, it is a great escape and very reasonably priced. "
