The hotel is a little tired, but I often stay there because it is clean, the staff are helpful and the breakfast good too. For the price it is excellent value, near to Flamingo beach and two metro stations, and Santos Dumont airport.

The night staff was so welcoming and friendly—they answered all the questions we had and offered to get our bags to our room. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The shower was amazing!! Would definitely recommend!!

The pictures are accurate that others have submitted. It is an old hotel and is certainly not on the beach or in some park like setting as some travel website photos might indicate. This is set right in an urban area and is an old, mostly well kept hotel. The price of a room somewhat indicates what you should be expecting. I was generally happy with the situation. The room did look like a 1950's motel, but that was ok because it was very clean. Everything did work. The a/c was a bit noisy, but did work. The employees really tried hard and the breakfast, although simple, was clean and generally fresh .....the employees were friendly and accommodating. So, I was basically o.k. with the negatives (the place is a homeless encampment on the streets outside) and the neg. interior issues. It was a good cheap pick to chill for the weekend and get something done at the embassy next week. There even was a super friendly English speaker on the front desk to smooth any rough edges out. So again, I was a happy camper..... until my horrible check out. Btw, I leave my room the way I found it, or as close to, when I check out ....just a matter of respect to the cleaner. In any case, I get to the front desk with my bags and the English speaker is on meal break. Ok, no big deal. Some lady I have not seen before presents me with a bill for some bottles of water. I haven't used any. There is a supermarket a short distance away. She keeps pushing the bill towards me and saying 'fr

O ponto mais crítico é a ausência de box no banheiro e mesmo tendo uma cortina bem simples de plástico isso não impede que o banheiro alague visto que a parte do chuveiro é extremamente pequena . O café da manhã bastante simples com poucas opções . O ar condicionado faz um barulho terrível e o colchão da cama duro. Pelo valor cobrado da diária eles poderiam meslhorar muito.

O hotel é otimo. Excelente cafe da manha, quartos confortaveis, boa manutenção. Porem, hj na hora do check-out, a recepcionista quis me cobrar valor a mais do que eu consumi em garrafas de agua. Ao todo, consuni somente 4 unidades, porem, para minja surpresa, estava constando como consumo de 7 unidades. Ao questiona-la sobre o erro, ela me parece um tanto soberba em seu tim de voz e depois de alguma insistencia, concordou que eu pagasse somente o que consumi, ainda que me pareceu que ela nao tneha acreditado em mim. Certamente eu nao viajei mais 1 mil km para roubar em garrafinhas de aguas. No mais, o hotel e otimo.

Já é o 3° ano que fico no Hotel, sempre bem organizado, equipe sempre atendendo muito bem tanto na recepção quanto na limpeza e no café! Recomendo pois é uma ótima localização, próximo de muitos cafés, bares, restaurantes, farmácia e mercados! Com certeza indo ao Rio novamente será nossa opção!
