"Decent hotel close to airport. Room was big especially compared to the typical Japanese hotel. We stayed in west wing which is newer. It was nice that there was a Family Mart connected to the lobby. Bus service was excellent. Easy to find the pick up location. Bus was on time and it literally took less than 5 minutes to get to Terminal from the hotel. If you have an early morning flight from Narita, this is a good place to stay."

"Beautiful hotel in a very convenient location, right next to the Sunshine City mall. Staff were very helpful in amending my booking to add another guest and in helping me book a taxi when leaving. Fantastic amenities, including a Family Mart in the hotel, and the rooms were well-catered. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at Marumi Hotel Tokyo Asakusa. The room was very clean and, compared to all the other hotels we stayed at during our trip to Japan, it was surprisingly spacious. It was nice to have a little extra room to relax and organize our luggage. The staff were always present, friendly, and helpful. They were especially helpful when we had questions about arranging luggage transportation to our next hotel in Kyoto, which made that part of our trip much easier. The location was also very convenient. There was a laundry just around the hotel, which was really helpful during our trip, and there were several restaurants nearby that stayed open late, so it was easy to find something to eat even after a long day of sightseeing. There was also a scooter/bike rental spot right outside the building that you could use through the LUUP app, which was another convenient option for getting around. The only minor drawbacks for us were the toiletries. The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap made my scalp and skin feel a little dry. The toilet paper was also quite thin, although I'm not sure if that's common in bathrooms throughout Japan. Overall, we had a very comfortable stay and really appreciated the cleanliness, spacious room, helpful staff, and convenient location. We would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Tokyo."
APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami

"I just returned from my trip to Tokyo and I stayed at APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami for 4 nights. Getting to the hotel in the evening from the Keisei Ueno station was quite straightforward. Check-in was quite smooth and I was provided with a room on a higher floor (as I requested). The room was quite tiny and compact, but I was impressed with the flow of the room and I was equally impressed with how purposeful the tiny bathroom was. I purchased breakfast with my stay, however, I had to miss breakfast on all days because I was quite sick with a cold and I did not want to inconvenience other travelers or visitors with my cold. This hotel, not to be confused with the other APA Hotel that's literally just steps away from the Keisei Ueno station, is also centrally located and is very close to the Ueno station that serves the Hibiya metro line, the Ginza metro line and the JR. As well, I was happy to be close to a plethora of food choices, shopping (including tax-free for tourists), Ueno Park, and convenience stores for quick grabs. Shout-out to the cleaning staff who did an amazing job of cleaning my room, most likely on a short turnaround. I really appreciated receiving new towels everyday in the APA bag that was hung outside my door - it felt like receiving gifts! Every floor of the hotel has water dispensers which was god-send for me because I was super dehydrated from being sick and needed water throughout the nights. Thank you APA Hotel Keisei Ueno Ekimae Minami!"
