6/10 Okay

"Arrived at Pierre & Vacances Benidorm Horizon. For a 3 night break. Had to check in at main hotel to access the apartmen in the other block. The check in process was excellent everything was there for you to understand & acknowledge. We had use of the main pool outdoors & indoors & the gym. The evening entertainment was ok but the bar was very expensive for food & drink. The Free shuttle bus to the beach and back was perfect as its a long old way expecially heading back from the beach The only down side was our apartment was shockingly dirty expecially the floors within but the bedding & towels was very clean. We was on floor 26 so the view at day & night was spectacular. I would rate this apartment a 6/10 could do with a good clean with new furniture & fixings. Would I stay here again? NO"

"Great location, beautiful apartment was a breakage fee think it was €200 which is returned on your card as soon as the room is checked. I left my passport staff emailed to say which was lucky! Would definitely stay here again. Pool bar was great also."

"So we booked a premium room for 4 nights on a half board basis. The hotel is clean, spacious and well located. Paid an additional 72 euros for parking. Our room was substandard with no view. In fact it was not cleaned without several complaints at reception on 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. None of the soaps, shampoo or gels were replenished. Breakfast was decent. Plenty of choice of cooked items, more limited choice of fruits or healthy options. Dinner was not so good. Live cooking didnt happen, hot dishes were tepid. Salad bar okay. Desserts, very sweet and no icecream. Not worth the addtional supplement and would not recommend. Overall, a 4 star building with a below par experience and food. You can probably do way better for the price charged."

"We have stayed in the Melia Benidorm many times over the past 20 years, we have enjoyed it very much and why we continued to return. The pool area is excellent with no problems. We feel now though the Hotel is getting a bit old and behind the times. Nothing has changed for years, it's no longer up to date and requires modernization. Things like no USB plugs in the rooms or public spaces, the bedroom had satellite TV, but the UK channels not working. The wooden panelling is old and water stained, bit of a 1990's throwback. The bar is boring and very old fashioned. The decor is the same this past 25 years and really beginning to show. We also found the standard if food to be not as good. Plenty of choice but just seems to be using cheap products and poor quality food. Whilst we have enjoyed our time at the Melia it's now time to move on and find a more up to date Hotel with better facilities and standards."
