"Great location. Very clean and staff friendly."

"The room was large, however the toilet cistern was coming away from the wall, the toilet door could not be opened or closed, stain on the lounge chair, marks on the carpet, peeling paint around the windows, the heater only appeared to work on high. After showering the bathroom floor tiles were damp from condensation. It was a noisy room from traffic. The plus the place is across the road from Hagley Park Had we not prepaid for two nights would have checked out. I doubt we will ever stay in a Motel again, I recall when this one was built over 30 yrs ago. the room in question 304, perhaps the other rooms are better. Hate to complain but at 70 yrs old have put up with enough crap in my life"

"Basic room but it has all that you need when you just want a room to sleep in and shower in. There was a mini bar fridge, tv, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, kettle, tv, all the basics. Bar and restaurant down stairs. Location is great, shops and restaurants on your doorstep, short walk to the night markets. A few more blocks but easy walk to the botanical gardens. Lovely staff"

"Generally good. room was spacious. The guy at reception was super helpful and gave us some free brownie, which was delicious thanks! Room smelt a bit damp, although it was a cool evening and the windows were open. Bathroom could do with a paint job but otherwise beds were comfortable and room was clean. Would book again."

"This would have to be one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in by way of price, location and amenities. I was a solo traveller in a studio room. It was spotlessly clean, very spacious and had a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and cutlery and crockery to be self sufficient. And all located directly opposite the magnificent botanical gardens and the river, the art gallery and a short walk to the main restaurant precint, riverside market and main CBD. And a little balcony as well. The price is so affordable, there is a restaurant on site and i was able to store my luggage until i could check in. Would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Great location, friendly staff, ale house/restaurant on site which was great, we had a ranch slider that went to know where though and would’ve been good if it went out to a patio area with chairs, would be easy enough to do and would’ve really improve those rooms"
