"We stayed at this hotel in Charlotte, NC and were very disappointed with the condition of the room. The entire space felt gross and unclean from the moment we walked in. There were what looked like old vomit stains on the floor between the two beds that had clearly not been properly cleaned. The carpet felt moist and yucky underfoot, which made walking around uncomfortable. The bathroom was in bad shape too — the sink would not drain at all, and there was visible mold in the shower. The microwave in the room (we had a suite) was filthy. Overall, the room just did not feel clean or well-maintained. We could strongly smell weed coming from other rooms throughout the night, so much so that I had to shove towels under the door to try to block it. On top of that, the noise from upstairs was unbearable — it sounded like a herd of elephants and people doing gymnastics until the early morning hours. We barely slept. The front desk staff were friendly and nice (That’s the 2 stars), but they were clearly short-staffed. They mentioned rooms were running behind on cleaning from the night before, which explained a lot. The breakfast was okay (nothing special), but it was hard to enjoy anything in the room because of how dirty it felt. For the price, I expected much better cleanliness and maintenance. This was not a restful or pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again."

"The floor room was dirty like if you walke in the room without shoes your feet get super eeooo(dirty) the bed clothes smelled like it’s was not clean. After that front desk guys were so nice and everyone around, at the pool the lifeguard were very focus on the people in the pool. I love the location because you have a big extra things to do when the pool closed."

"Normally I find Hampton Inn to be consistent, reliable and comfortable. Not a high end hotel but solidly GOOD. Not this one…. It was the most run down Hampton Inn I’ve stayed at, which you can feel as you first walk in. Beyond that, the water in my tub wouldn’t stop running even though it was fully turned off (not dripping, but a consistent stream of water), there were 3 tissues stuffed prettily into the tissue box and when I grabbed one, I found there was no tissue box at all - just the 3 stuffed into the top, my king bed had 4 standard pillows (vs king) and the bed squeaked when I rolled over, and one of the only two elevators was working. The front desk folks were nice and breakfast was decent, but I would never stay at this hotel again."
