The staff are very helpful cause I accidentally book 2 rooms under my name but actually I just need a room. Then, they cancelled the other booking for me.
Wake up to a magnificent view of Mt Kinabalu just infront of our unit.
They could improve on the water system. The unit we stayed has no hot water and the pressure was very low. I was freezing cold after a cold shower.
Other than that we loved the place and enjoyed our stay.
This is a sprawling set of several buildings and smaller cabins. We were in the Begonia building at the end which requires a short walk around one building and down two flights of stairs from the parking lot. The view of Mount Kinabalu from this far building is unobstructed and beautiful. The wifi is only available near the cafe and registration building. The breakfast is included and consisted of fried rice, noodles and white toast with sweet coconut spread. For drinks coffee and tea were available. The rooms are basic and clean same goes for the bathroom which had good water pressure and hot water. The windows are louvered so they don't keep the breeze out. The temperature went down to 16 or 17 degrees C. It was cool but manageable. We were in a ground suite and the footsteps from above of two little girls was quite noticeable. Overall a nice little gem as long as you are ok with a somewhat rustic style.
Staff were lovely and helpful, setting was beautiful, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable! Location is slightly out of the way if you haven’t got a car, as walking on the side of the road is sketchy. But fantastic value for money - would recommend it to everyone on a budget :)
They tried their best to make it better, but be prepared for terrible conditions, no soundproof, bugs rudimentary standards- treat it like a longhouse stay and you will be fine..
But we payed quite a lot and that made it not OK.
Place was amazing, rooms were kept clean. Food menu perhaps need improvement. Wifi connection provided was not so good coverage. Some Telco do not have coverage once enter the room.
Old tin room, with nails on the walls. Bad flooring etc etc, all our allergies started living in this old place. I am surprised it is listed as a house, I understand a little bit of wild living but this was plainly bad as seen in picture.
Luckily we could get it changed on the last day, but allergies continued with cat in the restaurant not helping.
The reception was accommodating in facilitating the change, but frankly it should not be listed in hotels.com as a house/room option.
The restaurant menu for breakfast or dinner is the same with no variation, it is good to skip it for now.
Magnifique vue sur le Kinabalu ,à 1,8km du parc .
On peutdonc y aller à pied.
Seul bémol, la nourriture, petite déjeuner et dîner ne sont pas à la hauteur.
Dommage
The massage here is poor. A grandfather gives a fake massage to earn his own money. I ordered the menu for an hour, but he only had a fake massage for 30 minutes. He just wants to earn 72RM.
There were many ants. The condition is like an old kampung house. The DVD player wasnt working and had to get someone to exchange with another DVD player next door. Cats and dogs around the premise, caterwauling until we fed them. The worse part was the presence of something in the room with bunk beds. My son was able to see it and my hubby was disturbed by it.

Disliked: Amenities
Hot water supply not stable, the room size is big, the view is so nice
But it distance from the Kinabalu park is so far away
It is cheaper to book on the spot / call the hotel for advance booking then to book online.
The room doesn't support weak WIFI...and there was no TV.
Toilet door was broken when we got in.
Breakfast was very bad, don't put too much hope on it
The rooms are way too noisy. This really ruins your sleep and really spoils the experience, despite the friendly service, clean rooms and beautiful view on Mount Kinabalu.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
a bit boring no tv ,wifi service very poor no internet at all.staying at bottom of the building upper guest was disturbing us keep running and make noise.view was excellent.
Hotel en un entorno precioso, habitaciones con vistas al Monte Kinabalu desde la terraza . Habitaciones limpias y con encanto, la sala de estar del bungalow muy agradable. En el Restaurante sirven una cena buena y barata.
