Dorsett Putrajaya

"I selected this hotel primarily for its location, close to the places I wanted to visit and I was not disappointed. Many a night following a whole day of walking and photography, I was relieved as I staggered back to the hotel close by. Places more than a kilometer away are reached by cheap ride-share Grab. This 4-star hotel presented and felt like one, and the cost was very reasonable. To top it all, it has a gym and roof-top infinity pool with fabulous views. The reception staff were friendly and competent. There is an additional $10 ringgit per night charge/tax. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2 people, with all the amenities you require, including disposable slippers, free bottles of water, a safe, and conveniently, socket points that will take plugs from all over the world. Great if you forgot to bring an adaptor or only brought one. There was a hot and cold water fountain near the lifts of each floor for an endless supply. I thought they could be more generous with the tea, coffee and sugar sachets (only 2-3 each) so that they don't need replenishing everyday. Room service meals stop at 10pm. On certain nights, only buffet meals are on offer, no a la carte. A 24 hour 7-Eleven store is within the block. There are 2 Malay restaurants nearby and an area with food trucks which I didn't get to explore. Overall, I was very pleased with my choice of hotel for 4 nights stay."

"The staff we met were all v friendly and helpful even though it was a close to full capacity weekend. The room is big and spacious and well maintained except for some visible stains on the couch and chair. I have already highlighted to the front desk upon checking out that 2-3 cockroaches were found in the bathroom of room 1013. Shuttle services were provided to and from the nearby IOI mall. It is advisable to have available transport or take grab to anywhere else. Other than that, it was a pleasant and enjoyable weekend."
