"The hotel was fantastic. My wife and I went out for snacks in the evening, and the area around the park was a bit scary. Not the hotel's fault. But maybe a snack shop inside the hotel would help. Otherwise, the stay was great. The staff especially stood out as friendly and helpful."
"After a long drive, the Kimpton Schofield was a welcome sight. We opted for the overnight valet parking, and it was a worthwhile expense. The valet staff was helpful and made the check-in process smooth.
We used the drink tickets we received at the hotel's restaurant, Betts. The food was surprisingly good, and the live music and bar with sports on were a nice bonus after staying at some less-than-stellar places off the highway.
The beds were a definite highlight—very comfortable linens. They also treated our dog very well, which is always a plus. The complimentary morning coffee was a nice touch, too.
Being downtown, there were some obvious downsides. The street noise from motorcycles was loud, a problem the hotel seems to be aware of, judging by the white noise machine and earplugs provided. More notably, the immediate area had a distinct, unpleasant odor, particularly of urine, and there was a sizable homeless population. While I didn't feel unsafe during the daytime, it's something to be aware of."
"Location was great rooms were large enough a little dark but OK breakfast was really average but still decent overall give it four out of five stars would definitely stay there again"
