Palazzo Doria Napoli

"Wow! Just wow!!! This is a stunningly beautiful and historically significant palazzo in the heart of Centro Storico. The staff was just amazing from start to finish. We enjoyed daily complimentary breakfast in a magnificent ballroom and they also helped to arrange taxis to the train station. The location is very convenient to the Dante metro station and walkable to shopping and much more! The spacious room was gorgeous with a comfortable king bed, a sitting area with a massive Murano chandelier and a free mini bar! While Naples can be chaotic and boisterous, we had no problems sleeping with the balcony doors closed. I highly recommend this palazzo and it was quite affordable compared to the other palazzos we stayed at in other cities in Italy."

"Great location, near a harbour on the seafront and brilliant views over the bay from the rooftop bar area. Staff were friendly and helpful. Be aware that the roof top pool area has to be booked in 2hour time slots ( not clear on the Expedia website) and on day one of our stay we couldn’t get a slot at all. In fairness we had slots for the next 2 days and the pool area was well worth a visit. Air con in the hotel and our room was also not very powerful, which I have seen commented on by other reviews. Overall though would recommend and would stay again."

"The hotel is in a nice location, serves a delicious breakfast, and the staff are wonderful. Having stayed here 10 years ago, I did notice the property could use a bit of updating particularly in the bathroom. On the bright side, the shower pressure was amazing! However, the shower tap was a bit wonky, and the glass door didn't seal properly, making it nearly impossible to shower without flooding the floor. Additionally, the basin tap couldn't be turned on fully because it hit the mirror above it. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety of options. The only tweak I'd suggest is the playlist: full-on rave/disco music is a bit intense for 7:00 AM, a calmer vibe would suit the morning much better!"

"Lovely apartment. Air conditioned which is needed in Naples. Also has washing machine which is very helpful. The only problem is there is no lift but they did say that on their description. It is quite challenging if you walk around all day then having to climb up."

"Fantastic room and rooftop restaurant that was very popular likely because it was fairly sketchy walking around the neighbourhood especially after dark and the proximity to the train station. If it wasn’t for the neighbourhood I would give it a 5 star. Having said that, the proximity to the train station made travels to Pompeii etc. super easy. I would stay here again."
