"Though I have been to Bali many times, this is my first trip with my partner to Nusa Pendida. The visit to Nusa Pendida followed our earlier stay on mainland Bali (Askara Canggu) in a villa type hotel where we were the only guests. The stay at Sunrise Cottage was from Oct 24-26 2024. I was expecting a villa with a private pool. However it turns out that there this wasn"t so when I arrived I was actually disappointed. BUT to be fair Sunrise Cottage on Nusa Pendida is actually a hidden gem....

"Hôtel au top dans un environnement assez rustique de Nusa Penida. Superbe vue sur le volcan de lombok et sur la mer. Le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et très accueillant. Seul bémol, les nombreux chiens qui aboient une bonne partie de la nuit."

"A lovely stay with friendly staff, if you don’t want to pay for a taxi to get to town or anywhere else you should rent a scooter, the location is up a hill, so walking is quite steep. Pool is very clean, breakfast is great too, rooms are very clean and spacious, just remember to turn on the fridge as soon as you enter as it’s unplugged to save energy."

"I have seen some not so great reviews for this place elsewhere and i find them unfair. This place has only been open for 2 months and i think they are on track to be a super success. Rooms are comfortable and the host are WONDERFUL. Some people have complained about proximity to other things ...this place is a bit by itself but penida doesnt really have a booming town anywhere so i dont think its location matters, plus you will likely be renting a scooter once on the island anyway...apit handles...

"À fuir, les photos ne sont pas la réalité. Le personnel ne change pas les serviettes un jour sur l’autre alors qu’on les a bien mis sur le sol. De plus, toute la nuit nous avons eu des rongeurs. Le personnel parle peu anglais et le scooter n’en parlons pas"

"The property was very clean and the toilet was big. It has the main basic amenities however without coffee making facilities inside the room. But you can request from the property if need to. It is an inn and they are always there within the property to look after guest needs. I slept like a baby as the bedding was comfortable with the sound of waves just beside. Peaceful. Breakfast was good too and served at your request. "

"Un très bel hôtel, situé en hauteur. La piscine offre une vue magnifique sur la mer, le restaurant de l’hôtel est plutôt bon (et heureusement car sans scooter il ne vous est pas possible de manger autre part). Le personnel est très gentil et plutôt accessible. En revanche les draps de l’hôtel et les taies d’oreiller n’étaient pas propres. J’ai trouvé ça regrettable car au prix de la nuit, il me semble possible d’acheter une nouvelle literie si les taches ne s’enlèvent pas… "
