"For some unknown reason this place was already rated "excellent" whereas there was no previous reviews. So I felt a little bit manipulated as this place without being bad was way overrated. Although the place is generally clean, it nis not maintained properly. Some stuffs need some fixing. "The pool area is beautiful with an amazing beach view. The staff are amazing especially Mariana from the front desk. Any issues, they quickly and effectively solve it. There's an amazing bar that sits on the 51st floor. I'm going to mark this as my go to place every time I visit Colombia. The beach is litterarly in front of the Hotel. There's also great security around the area, so safety is not a concern. There's also malls, supermarkets, banks, restaurants, and more walking distance. The hotel is located in the perfect area. Just watch out for the people that work in the beach: They are not part of the hotel, just local people that crazily over charge the tourists. Learn your Colombian pesos very quickly. Don't buy your souvenirs from the locals at the beach, go to the Mercado instead. Either way, if they know you are not Colombian, the locals will over charge you. But like I said, the hotel have nothing to do with the locals and unfortunately, every beach in Colombia have those local sellers. Book your tours directly from the port not via the people who approach you in the street, they will over charge you. This is my 3rd time in Cartagena and this has been the best stay so far and I plan to stay here again. Enjoy! "
