The Dominick
10/10 Excellent
"Staff was great, location is very convenient to Subway and shopping. My only complaint was the elevators weren’t working the first day were there. The staff had to operate manually and it took very long to get up to the 36th floor. Would stay again as long as the elevators are working. "

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport
2/10 Terrible
"The staff overall came across as unprofessional, inattentive, and not customer-focused. At the restaurant, I waited over 20 minutes just to place an order and had to call a server myself—there was no acknowledgement of the delay or any basic courtesy. The service felt outright rude.
Additionally, the exit process was poorly managed and extremely frustrating. Upon checkout, I specifically asked the front desk if I could exit directly by car as I was running late and surrendering my Fob. I was told the gate will be opened. However, despite pressing the intercom multiple times (over 20 attempts), there was no response. I had no choice but to park, walk back to reception, and resolve the issue—wasting an additional 10–15 minutes during a critical time. Again, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused.
Overall, the staff behavior reflected a lack of accountability and customer care. The impression I was left with is that guest experience is not a priority here and they are definitely not the in the Customer retaintion business. Never staying here again."

Hotel Henri NY
8/10 Good
"The staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful! There isn't much of a lobby, but the Hole in the Wall restaurant on the other side was nice. Food was great, but so much I couldn't eat it all. Room was quiet and roomy. Nice bathroom with a fan that actually filtered the steam out. For the location, it was a great deal."

6/10 Okay
"We have very mixed feelings overall.
Starting with the good: convenient location, nice room (direct view of the Empire State Building), free coffee in the mornings, most staff were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, our stay didn't end well. We asked reception if they could order a taxi for us to the airport (as it's not impossible for foreigners to use the app for this) and were quoted the regulated price. To our surprise, at the agreed time a standard car showed up instead of a taxi. While this already wasn't what we agreed on, things got weirder as we noticed the driver discussing a kickback from our trip - probably explaining why we didn't get a taxi as requested. Not necessarily a problem on its own, but it felt like we didn't get what we asked for for personal gain. To make things worse, when we said we would pay by card, we were told we had to pay more then - not something that would have happened with a taxi and felt both unfair and dodgy. As the cherry on the cake, there was no tip option below 25% / couldn't enter a custom amount - while this is an epidemic in the US, it felt especially ridiculous as we were already paying more than what was agreed and how much the taxi's regulated price would have been."

"Hotel was great other than elevators. You have to wait a long time to catch an elevators. "

The Hotel @ Fifth Avenue
4/10 Poor
"The room was dirty when I arrived. Hair all over the shower, the toilet was not properly cleaned. The drawers would open on their own. The ceiling apears to have had a leak resently. When I checked in the front desk gave me the room key and he said it had the wifi password but it did not. I had to go back down and ask for it. Over all, very sloppy. "
