"I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was so bad I feel obligated to warn others. We stayed here in Panama City Beach last year and thought it was a little dirty, but this time it was on a completely different level. The property itself was filthy—trash scattered all over the grounds like no one even attempts to clean it. But the real issue started when we checked into our room. The door didn’t lock. Not “hard to lock”—it literally did not require a key to open. Anyone could just pull the handle and walk right in. To make matters worse, you actually needed a key just to close it from the outside. We left for a few hours to enjoy the area, and when we came back, our room had been “serviced,” but the maid didn’t even secure the door. Our room was left wide open for about six hours for anyone to walk into. That’s not just careless—it’s completely unacceptable and a serious safety issue. When we brought this up to the front desk, they acted annoyed, like we were inconveniencing them by pointing out that our room was basically unsecured the entire day. And the cleanliness? Disgusting. There was old coffee still sitting in the pot from previous guests, growing mold. The sheets were stained with who-knows-what. It honestly made us question if anything in the room had been properly cleaned at all. Between the lack of security, terrible cleanliness, and dismissive staff, this was one of the worst stays we’ve ever had. We will absolutely not be returning."

"The property pics were really nice online. When we checked in the lobby was really nice and clean and the staff there was pleasant. However, when we went to check into our room, it was a totally different story. The building where our room was appeared old, worn, and barely kept. "The best things were the location and the first front desk person after that nope. Couch cushions had what looked crap stains on them and the breakfast was very minimum. The last morning I was there we were waiting for the breakfast crew to put plates out and refill food waited 30 minutes we were wondering who ran as no me was at front desk or walking around refilling stuff. A lady had walked over to a gentleman in the corner deep in his phone when she asked if he worked there, then she had to ask him to refill the breakfast and put plates out this was 830a-9a we didn’t really eat the breakfast cause we had no plates to eat on and nothing out to eat and was well before 10a I appreciated the location more than anything but would find another hotel as we felt like we were last thing anyone wa Ted to help wish we had the First Lady helping but oh well "

"My stay at Sparks Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I walked into my room, I was impressed. The room had such a fresh, inviting smell that immediately let me know it was very clean and well cared for. Everything was spotless — the bed, bathroom, and overall room were all neat and comfortable. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxing, and exceeded my expectations. I truly appreciated the attention to cleanliness and comfort. I will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend Sparks Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable stay!"

"When we first got there we had a little difficulty but the lady who i communicated with Lyn Burnette was absolutely amazing. I came from Illinois down to the beach with the kids and she made sure everything was in place for us. Our room was nice overlooking the pool and the beach. They had good food and drinks pool side and the security always made sure everyone was taken care of even more during spring break. Would come back to this resort. "
