La Terraza de San Juan

"The location is amazing, lots of restaurants and bars steps from the place. The main plazas and castles are 15/20 minutes away. We got the apartment on the basement and it was perfect for us (me, husband and 6 month old baby). With the feeling that we were living “back in time” the room has a big bed, a crib and nice living room area (with a mini fridge) that we hangout when it got too hot out. The Terraza is 10/10 we wish we had stayed longer in town to spend more time there."

"We had family stay in two rooms (3 family members per room). 3 people on the 4th floor and 3 people on the 5th floor. Both floors only had 1 roll of toilet paper for one week!!! When asked for more toilet paper the wait was for over an hour. Towels are also not changed unless you request them and that takes time too. And goodluck getting your room cleaned…they only clean IF you request it there is no sign to leave on the door to have your room cleaned! And when you request at the front desk to have it cleaned, it took 3 days. In the 4th floor room 2471, we found 6 roaches in the kitchen and living room area. We reported that and were told oh we just exterminated that room that’s probably why. Would you like to switch? Why would you offer a room that you KNOW actively has a high chance of having roaches? The good thing that I can say is that the bed was comfortable and the jacuzzi was nice for the 4th floor. For the 5th floor room the bed was the most uncomfortable bed ever with springs. Also has to request toilet paper, towels, and coffee filters and wait for hours multiple times. The lobby itself is beautiful and the pool and beach is well kept. Kind of stinks that the Seahorse bar and grill only stays open till 5:30pm…"

"Me hospedé en el Hotel Milano por 2 noches y tuve una excelente experiencia. La ubicación es inmejorable, en pleno Viejo San Juan, cerca de restaurantes, tiendas, sitios históricos y todo lo necesario para recorrer la ciudad a pie. La habitación estaba muy limpia y bien cuidada, lo cual hizo mi estadía muy cómoda. El personal fue amable y el proceso de check-in y check-out fue sencillo. Por su ubicación, limpieza y excelente relación calidad-precio, definitivamente volvería a hospedarme aquí. ¡Muy recomendado!"

"We feel like the place is misrepresented online. No restaurant. No breakfast served daily, even though this is on the Expedia page and official site. When we asked about this during check-in, we were advised it closed a long time ago, but they haven't gotten around to updating the info. Rooms, not clean. The first room had stains on bed sheets, bed skirts, couch, walls, rusty metal in bathroom, hair on the bed, couch, and shower walls, big water rust stains in bathroom on shower wall, and water stains on the bathroom ceiling, origin unknown. We asked to change rooms and were told not possible, ask tomorrow. Finally on the 3rd day we got a new room. The room had similar challenges. Less rust, but hairs, sand, and stains were found again. We showed these to the front desk person and she sent someone up to clean again right away. We asked to leave to move to another hotel and were told not possible. Expedia also would not help with this when asked for assistance. We ended up double booking some nights. Ultimately, the property did give us a partial refund for the days spent in the first room. If the place were clean, it would be really quaint and historic, but it needs work. Noise. While the walls are solid concrete, the doors and interior windows are very, very thin and don't come anywhere close to a sealed closing. When another guest in your wing is getting it on, you'll most likely know about it. Victor down the hall was doing a great job of doing something for his lady."
