HAIAN Beach Hotel & Spa

"The rooftop pool is beautiful however you have to find someone to get pool towels and there is VERY limited seating so often you can't sit poolside. The elevators are slow and there doesn't seem to be enough of them for the number of rooms resulting in long waits. The breakfast buffet has an abundance of options however nothing feels personal about the service (or lack thereof) in the buffet area and many food choices is not the same as a high quality buffet with fewer options. The hotel is located directly across from the beach with active construction on both sides. They give you a complimentary drink at checkin to make up for the noise (they forget to mention you can only use the voucher for 4 items of their choosing). The construction noise didn't bother us but we did not have a side room directly facing the construction. There are hundreds of restaurants you can walk to from the hotel."

Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa

"The Hyatt DeNang has all the hallmarks of a classic resort experience. For those that want a luxurious ambience, with a hint of resident culture, this is for you. Learning the ropes takes a day or two, eg. happy hour changes depending on the bar, it's possible to get 2 for 1 cocktails between the hours of 4 - 8pm if you plan it out. Ice cream bars are also placed at strategic locations to keep the youngsters happy too. For families this is a very well thought out resort design. Prices are what you would expect to pay in Australia, the assumption that this will be a cheap holiday will disappoint. Also disappointing was the linen. I am a bit of a connoisseur of hotel sheets, with the expectation of crisp cotton, and a choice of firm or soft pillows. Neither was delivered here, so despite the firm mattress, I've had better sleeps in a 3 star hotel. This resort best suits young families."

"The resort was in a great location between Da Nang City and Hoi An and super easy to get taxis between. We enjoyed breakfast in the hotel, which has lots and lots of choice, and also food and drinks at the pool bar on a few occasions - the pool has an amazing view over the ocean. Colleagues at the resort were very pleasant and helpful. The four bedroom villa is enormous as is every area in it including bathrooms, dining area etc. There’s an outdoor shower area off from the master shower but we never used this. The villas need a wee bit of TLC in areas as age and weather is catching up with them. The gardens are meticulous and certain areas of grass feel like they are padded underfoot. I would return but there are a few minor things I was slightly disappointed with, such as the consistent lack of pool towels in the villa, the very poor quality of the pool towels (big stains), and other amenities that weren’t replenished during the stay (like laundry bags and forms)."
