"Great value, very nice room and room service, handy location, although would be good if you could rent a motorbike. Air conditioning in room was great, though the rest of the hotel is very hot but not a big deal given they are obviously saving energy."
"It's a unique property where the rainforest meets the beach. The swimming pools are awesome and the resort is expansive. They have a fantastic spa also. Enjoyed our stay here and strolls along the beach."
"The pools, beach area, gardens and lobby are beautiful. You can swim your way around the resort. We stayed in a resort suites which was new and very spacious, and great for a family. The only flaw was our suite not being read until an hour after the check-in time and the in-room dining was very slow."
"This very exclusive property was wonderful - first and foremost the staff led by Kris attended to every need, helpfully when needed, leaving you in peace when not. We had the beachfront room, lovely views, and very spacious and comfortable. Food was great, they have fresh fish prepared anyway you like - along with a deep menu of Asian and western dishes. A big breakfast (included) carries you most of the day - fresh fruit pops up often as a thoughtful snack by ever vigilant staff. Despite being...
"Only 5 minutes to Khao lak town, the resort is becoming a little bit dated, not very user friendly to elderly people as a lot of the stairs are unsafe thin and uneven especially on the bridges going over the pools. The onsite restaurant menu is average and the food similar most nights the restaurant was very quiet as people ate out elsewhere. We had a pool access room which was nice. Overall would we stay there again 50/50 on that."

Almost everything about our stay was excellent. The pools were fantastic and a real highlight for the whole family. Breakfast was good and well worth the price. The staff at the Flying Market restaurant and in the kids club were exceptionally friendly and provided great service.
The only downsides were the slow-running water and inconsistent shower temperature in our room, which unfortunately were not fixed despite informing the staff, and the lack of evening activities — the hotel feels completely dead at night with nothing to do.

"Breakfast very good, variety and length of service was great.
Rooms large and comfy beds.
2 pools one with swim up bar. Private beach and warm sea to swim in.
Staff very polite and helpful.
Car park with limited spaces, but security is there 24 hours so no problem parking on the front of the hotel
A very enjoyable stay, wish we booked longer than 4 nights.
Close to waterfalls, temples, and tsunami museum.

"Friendly staff and amazing resort. They made our holiday memorable. Every areas are exceptional clean, spacious rooms and the resort has many activities to take part on. Great fitness centre. Avani+ is run by very professional team with an impressive work ethic. We will definitely going back there."
"The property was immaculate. Well designed, maintained and beautiful. The staff was friendly, ultra respectful, vigilant, extra attention to detail, and do their absolute best.
The food was fresh and delicious. Everything was made fresh, including if you asked for a glass of juice. They will literally squeeze the fruit into juice for you to drink.
This property was everything and more. "
"Absolutely loved JW marriott khao lak. Loveliest staff who make you feel so welcome. Awesome facilities, great breakfast buffet, awesome restaurant options for full board. Beautiful pool with great pool bar staff (Ploy, Jean, Win, Kaew)"
