Featured Hostels in Panama City

Luna's Castle Hostel
2.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (5)
"The hostel was great, with nice areas to hang out in and a fun bar downstairs. Free towels were a nice plus. I still probably wouldn't stay again, simply because I found the room to be so hot I couldn't sleep. There were 2 ceiling fans but only one was working and it wasn't enough to make a difference to how hot the room was. Each bed also has a small fan but mine was broken, which didn't help! "

Los Panas Hostel
1.5 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (8)
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Los Panas Hostel. The couple that owns the place was very kind and welcoming. They even woke up at 5am (we had to head to the airport early) to make us a complimentary breakfast with coffee! We were so happy! Additionally, the room/bathroom was very clean and adorable. Definitely recommend the Los Panas Hostel."

"Rafael & his team do a remarkable job of keeping things clean and organized, and making the guests feel welcome and comfortable. Rooms are sparce but effective, and there are a few common areas -- living room, dining area, kitchen, patio and pool deck. I liked the Community Breakfast 8-9am when all guests (those interested) can gather and meet during a casual coffee and breakfast."

"Booked a private room for my girlfriend and I. In Panama City, most people want and expect air conditioning. But our room only had a fan. The manager explained that the website stated that there is only a fan in the room. The manager also stated that for the price, we should not expect AC. This may be true but guests should not have to assume. She would not let me checkout with and receive a refund. Fortunately(?), I was able to rent a whole dormitory room at a price upgrade. My girlfriend was...

After lady got there Theres no office so we sat at table while waiting for our room to be checked. Room was perfect for what we needed though. Everything was clean ac didnt work very well..but all in all our stay worked out well. The place looked cute and good value."

Hostal My Home in Panama - Hostel

"Hotel has new owners, staff is polite but too informal. Hotel didn't receive our reservation and couldn't process credit cards. Room was extremely small with private bathroom with less than 400 sq ft total.Renovations look like they were done with recycled materials and ended like a bad DIY project. Very old beds in room and limited closet/storage. Expected a little better since the hostel is a converted house in a good neighborhood. Only spent one night."

Hostel Danicole
2.0 star property
6.0 out of 10, (1)
"This was a good, low-budget find in high-budget Panama City. Pros: Nice neighbourhood, large kitchen, workable WiFi. Cons: Paid for breakfast through the booking which wasn't provided (although we did negotiate a discount), got downgraded to a worse room, some of the bathroom doors didn't have locks. Good if you're not high maintenance"
