Panama City Beach hotel rooms a the Independent

"Our room had an amazing view but unfortunately, it smelled like the most potent men’s cologne ever. We tried to move rooms but couldn’t so we dealt with that. Additionally, the floors were so incredibly dirty that you can feel the dirt on your feet. Our feet were black after the first 5 minutes and our socks were ruined cause I can’t get the black dirt stains out them after immediately handwashing them. The sof pillow was dirty. The bathroom was decent and the beds were, however we all woke up stuffy so i think there could be bed mites. Thankfully, we stayed one night. This hotspot is way out of price range for the lack of working spaces. The pool was closed due to a toddler defacating in it but no “pool closed” sign no one an"

"Overall, the stay was fine and affordable but nothing luxurious. The floors are sandy and sticky. The bathroom is not very clean or cute. The restaurant and bar by the beach was amazing. The staff were kind and helpful throughout the stay. The free parking is helpful to leave the car there until you need it. "

"The people at the desk were very nice. The beach view was fantastic. The parking was plentiful. I didn't use the pool, but it looked pretty nice. The bathroom could use a little TLC, however it was sufficient for everything I needed. "

"The rooms need some serious attention when it comes to cleaning. I understand it’s an older hotel so I was not expecting luxury. I had to ask that housekeeping sweep and mop the floors. Sand was everywhere when we checked in. That wasn’t the biggest issue. The floor was a little sticky and had hairballs on the floor. I hope management reads reviews and focus on cleaning. Since the hotel is older and dated cleanliness is a must. Other than that the stay was great. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The location was chefs kiss. I noticed the front desk area was newly renovated. I hope they take time to renovate the rooms. Deep cleaning, painting, and new couches/sofa beds would do this place wonders. Sofa bed looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages. With all that said I would stay again in a weekend stay and bring supplies to clean! "
