Vanbrugh House Hotel
8/10 Good
"Excellent location. Staff was very helpful with local advice on tours/things to do/restaurants."

Malmaison Oxford
8/10 Good
"No coffee m/c in room. Otherwise very pleasant but a lot of money for one night."

Linton Lodge Hotel, BW Signature Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Very comfortable bed! A fan was provided which was awesome given the heat wave that was happening! There was an iron/ironing board and the room was spacious. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Had a great supper in the restaurant. Parking on site for a very reasonable price. Great location for exploring plus the area around was very quiet."

George Street Hotel

Mercure Oxford Eastgate Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Paying more than £200 for a midweek one night stay, you have certain expectations. The room was nice, the bathroom modern, the staff at check in very pleasant. We arrived during a heatwave. The room was hot (the thermostat said 26 celsius / 80F). We tried adjusting the air conditioning to cool the room, but it didn't do anything. There was a powerful fan that at least moved the air around, but no cooling. The windows were all sealed shut, even though the hotel is in a historic building and they should have been openable. Thus we sweated through the night even sleeping with the fan on and without using the comforter. The room was no cooler in the morning although it had cooled off considerably outside. Additionally the wifi was pretty poor (rhere was an option to buy better) and the coffee was Nescafe sachets. These are the kinds of things I expect in a £60 hotel room, but not in one costing three times as much."

Ramada by Wyndham Oxford
6/10 Okay
"This place is certainly looking a bit tired and shabby. Also, like so many hotels in or near service stations, signage for the entrance is very poor, and almost impossible to find at night."

The Randolph Hotel Oxford, a Graduate by Hilton
4/10 Poor
"A rather shabby hotel which save for the restaurant is served by obviously demotivated and poorly trained staff . The attention to detail was quite shocking . The lift was out of order to the the 4th floor and being " urgently " repaired - over a 24 hour period there was no sign of any repair activity , the bar crowded and sporadically staffed. The doormen shuffling about with their shirt tails hanging out and filthy chandeliers in reception. This hotel is an overpriced and dreary place ."

"Really lovely stay—everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond. Big thanks to the check-in staff, the bar staff and the front-of-house gentleman at breakfast for making us feel so welcome."
