"We had a room overlooking the water. It would have been great to sit on the balcony with a morning cup of tea. But it must be the first hotel in the Netherlands that doesn't have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Very disappointing. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice and modern. It had a huge sink but no counter space for toiletries etc. The lighting was very poor and not bright enough for shaving, applying makeup etc. Despite that, we will be back when the weather is...

"The hotel is right next to the Zaandam train station and only 2 stops away from Amsterdam Central. If you are looking for a clean hotel, right next to shopping and dining and outside the busy city nights, this place is great. There is a shopping strip right near the hotel, with bars and dining options a 5 minute walk away. They have bicycles for use and getting back and forth from Amsterdam was a 11 minute train ride. We really liked the ability to unwind at night in quiet, but having easy access to the city and all of the canals, tours and attractions. "

"This hotel was in a unique location. The streets are guarded by timed entry, which made it confusing to get to the parking. The hotel staff was helpful with this experience. The breakfast was quite costly for typical offerings, but the setting was very elegant. The bed was comfortable and clean. "

"if you like camping this is a good place to stay. If you like to stay in a hotel...dont bother with this place. most unfriendly and uncomfortable. staff needs lots of training to enter the world of hospitality."
