Very friendly place. Lots of restaurants to choose from and good train station that links to the rest of Algarve and beyond. A ferry that links to rio formosa . Everything is walkable and flat . A really interesting place to visit.

Olhao is a typical coastal fishing town. A close knit and welcoming community which is thriving and growing (hopefully it won't grow too much or too quickly). Ria Formosa is an area of natural beauty. And it's impossible to have a bad meal!

Make sure to take the ferry to the Islands Culatra and Armona were our favourite. Also dine at Cha Cha Cha and Pizza De Pedro but make sure to book before you go as they get very booked up
