"The room was clean and spacious. The staffs were friendly. The food was delicious. I would definitely go back♨️. You must like Japanese food, though."
"if you want to live in a Japanese-style hotel, look no further. The facilities and staff are outstanding. Tatami floors. Futon beds. Serene property. Hot outdoor soaking tubs. A really nice change of pace from Tokyo. "
"If you're looking to get away to quiet serenity then this is a lovely place. It is removed from easy access to activities in the area, other than the outdoor sculpture park, which is EXTREMELY worth a visit, but it was a beautiful location to spend a peaceful break in the midst of the big cities on our itinerary. "The room was spacious (family of 4 with 2 teenagers) and clean. The beds were big but a tiny bit hard. The breakfast buffet was excellent with extensive choices both Japanese and enough western food options for our picky family :). I enjoyed the Onsen a few times and the location was perfect, just a 3 minute walk from Gora Station with direct access to the Hokane-Tozan railway and Cable Car (to ropeway). I would recommend this to all my friends visiting this area in the future. "
"We really enjoyed this hotel. It was very well appointed and had everything we needed. There was even a private onsen off the shower room. The hotel was very accommodating with a shuttle to pick us up and drop us off. It was a great experience. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others."
Ajisai Onsen Ryokan - Award Winning Private Open Air Onsen Hakone
10/10 Excellent
"Great for families looking for some traditional serenity. Tucked away with ability to book private onsen. Yes as a base when exploring Hakone, but get ready to walk."
"Loved the private hot tub in the room. Hated that they didn't have room service or vending machines after the restaurant closed. We couldn't even get Uber Eats delivered; not much was open around the hotel."
"Recommended! It is a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. We upgraded our room and definitely worthy because we enjoyed our private onsen with beautiful scenery. The onsen is the best we ever had in Japan. "

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel. The rooms were spacious and well thought out. We stayed just one night but could easily have spent more time at the hotel and exploring the area."
