"Stayed for a few nights to relax after a trip to Munich. Hotel is in a very nice location with views of the German alps all around. Easily walkable to the main portion of town with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked and the lady working the breakfast area would offer to make eggs for us in the mornings. "As is typical for Oberammergau inflated prices taking advantage of the NATO school transient population, this hotel is no exception, rather the poster child for under performing and customer service. Wifi is HORRID, and I was blamed for the issue. NATO has two official languages, French and English. "Beautiful older hotel- very well kept. Great view of the mountains from our balcony. Sat there relaxing enjoying a beer! Staff and breakfast were wonderful. Close walk to train station and Zugspitze Bahn. Has a pool sauna and steam room but we just stayed 2 nights so no time to use them but they looked excellent. We plan to come back next year and stay longer. We highly recommend Wittelsbacher Hof"
