As is typical for Oberammergau inflated prices taking advantage of the NATO school transient population, this hotel is no exception, rather the poster child for under performing and customer service. Wifi is HORRID, and I was blamed for the issue. NATO has two official languages, French and English. TV offerings at this hotel were Deutsch, Deutsch, Deutsch, a few French and Italian and 3 English news channels (2 financial and BBC world). Iin other words it was, along with the Wifi, horrible. The hotel, as well as the village, wants all the per diem it can get, but not provide what should be standard for their primary customer. On the upside, parking was ample, the room was large (I had a suite) the view was gorgeous, the area was mostly quiet and the overpriced food options (to include the hotel) were within walking distance, however the included breakfast was exceptional, the highlight of the stay! Overpriced food example - Weiner Schnitzel all over Germany ranges from 5 to 8 euro, (I've lived here for over 14 years) at this hotel 13.90 or double normal price. The same on their other menu items. Room comfort was ok, only one towel provided, the pillow was worthless, bed firm and comfy and the sitting room was adequate, but nothing to rave about. Overall this is a 1.5 to 2 star hotel and I'm being generous, only because they are updating facilities, too bad they don't understand how Wifi repeaters actually work instead of relying on 'well i have bars on my phone' as an excuse

We had a fabulous stay here. Staff were friendly. Buffet breakfasts delicious and plentiful.our daughter (aged 5) enjoyed playing in the well equipped and clean playroom and outdoor playground and I appreciated the spa facilities and fitness room. This was our third trip to Oberammergau but our first to this hotel - we will be back for sure.

Der Gast steht im Mittelpunkt. Personal sehr aufmerksam! Schönes Hotel. Gute Betten. Einzig die Frühstücksbrötchen könnten besser sein. Schmeckten wie Aufbackware.

Good, not great.

There were several surprise fees that weren't made clear on their website or on the hotels.com website. And they also could have explained how the "Bed & Breakfast" guest system worked for reserving a table at the restaurant for the weekend at check-in. I only discovered it the night before we left after we were done eating at the restaurant. On a positive note: They spoke pretty good English at the desk and at the restaurant. They also kept the hotel in VERY clean standards and the views were amazing. The pool and sauna/spa area was also very nice. Finally, there was a children's play room and a nice park outside too, which made me happy to see and would consider telling friends/family to stay here for that reason.

chambre moins cher, chambre au 3e sans ascenseur

Petit problème, j'ai retenu une chambre vers 17 heures.... en arrivant, la chambre était au 3ème..pas de problème, l'hôtel est équipé d'un ascenseur. Mais le problème, c'est que l'ascenseur ne monte que jusqu'au 2ème.... le reste à pied avec les valises. Barrage de la langue, mais avec mon petit vocabulaire allemand, j'ai fait comprendre que je n'étais pas satisfaite.... réponse : chambre louée pas cher..... je trouve cela à la limite de la malhonnêteté..... on vous montre des photos, les services de l'hôtel, un prix,...... vous payez... et quand vous arrivez, rien ne correspond. C'est bien l'hôtel qui propose le prix.... il devrait mettre les photos réelles, de la chambre , de la vue (si c'est sur cour, etc...) ainsi le client pourrait choisir, s'il veut payer plus cher, ou moins cher. Un autre point, le petit dej le lendemain matin... deux salles, la première que j'ai pu voir avec nappe, etc...., mais pour nous, c'était une autre salle, avec des sets de table...... et surtout pas le même buffet....alors attention
