"Check in was a mess. Staff seems to not know how or it was very disorganized. Long wait and people just jump on queue and staff didn’t bother to do anything. I don’t think I’m going back there."
"Unlike many resorts in Nusa Dua this one is very Balinese themed. Great staff with Fajar a really great help with anything needed. Have stayed here twice in the last 2 years. Best Beach access and local dining is very easy to walk to.
Rooms have plenty of space with a great balcony.
The breakfast is very comprehensive and a great way to start the day.
Will definitely continue to use the Ayodya when visiting Bali"
"Property is beautiful. Staff was great for the most part. Salsa Verde needs some improvement. Went into the restaurant on the day we checked in at 8:40. Was sat at a dirty table that had crumbs and sauce in the table, no silverware, glassware or napkins. We got up and changed tables to a clean one that was set. They never brought us bread (didn’t know they offered bread until the second time we ate there). As the server dropped out appetizers at 9:10 she asked if she could bring our entree right now because the kitchen closed in 20 minutes. I had to explain that I would like to eat my appetizers 1st and then she can bring our entree right before the kitchen closed. Not a good dining experience.
The pool was super family friendly and the staff was great. We were served a rotten coconut and they immediately replaced it and apologized. Rooms were nice and spacious. Housekeeping was great. Front desk was helpful. The lobby bar was fantastic for end of night drink, coffee and desert. Sports bar was nice. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with great food and friendly attentive staff. Beach area was clean and well kept. All around great except Salsa Verde which was just ok service the second time we went (but much better than the 1st night). All around I would come back."
"We would have easily given The Sakala five stars because, overall, we had an excellent experience. The resort is beautiful, very clean, with great pools and an amazing atmosphere. We highly recommend the all-inclusive package because the food is spectacular.
The staff made our stay special. Everyone was respectful, polite, and attentive. A special thank you to Rini, The Restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome every day. She was outstanding, and if we ever to return, it will be because of her. We also loved Koming, who made the omelets each morning. She even remembered our names the next day, which was a thoughtful touch that meant a lot.
The only reason we gave four stars instead of five was our final three hours. We checked out at noon but had airport transportation at 3:00 p.m. We were told we could continue using the resort, but when we tried to get lunch, we were told our all-inclusive benefits had ended. We asked the reception supervisor, Dewa, if an exception could be made since we were still on the property, but he refused—even hesitating to provide a bottle of water.
That disappointing experience overshadowed an otherwise amazing stay. Without it, this would have been an easy five-star review. We still recommend The Sakala—just don't expect any flexibility after checkout."
