"Shops were near by. Rooms were all clean and the bar was well stocked. The manager was really accommodating and was really welcoming. Parking was excellent and the hotel was a great location. Would really recommended a stay."

"This hotel is a tale of two halves, family area is not as fresh as the adult area. The conditions are not fit for purpose for a family and they really need to be looked at. Asked for my room to be cleaned again and was told cleaners are in at 4:30pm, and then when I got back it hadn't been touched apart from making the beds again. Camp bed had springs falling off it which I told reception and they just used the same one, so I had to make a floor bed for the kids (which they loved) but for the price this hotel is overpriced and unhealthy dirty. You can see dust skirts along the walls and under the camp beds, aswell as finding bottles still under the bed from the last occupant and a few other things. Reception staff just lost interest in the amount of people complaining and couldn't care. This place needs a huge overhaul and soon "

"Room was clean but bed is not comfortable and covers could of been bigger and better also pillows not comfortable. Breakfast was ok but would like to get breakfast myself and have more continental cake pan cakes etc for child. Think doors need to be changed as u come in as kept banging and dont help with son ats autism. Stuff was very helpful and prices was not to bad "

"I have a very mixed review for this hotel. The renovated rooms are nice, but the pre-reno one I refused to stay in was nasty. Some of the staff are lovely but the manager was rude and unpleasant. I booked a superior king suite which was listed as having a sea view, sofa bed and deep soaker tub. The room I was given was smaller with a shower. According to the manager I couldn’t stay in the room I booked because it’s actually the junior suite not a superior king room. She then said it had recently been booked by a VIP for part of my stay and the error was my fault for not booking directly with the hotel, but the hotel took no responsibility. I was given the choice of the room with a shower or a room with mold around the bathtub, peeling wallpaper and water stains on the ceiling. I couldn’t simply get a refund and leave. I’m not the first person to complain about not getting the room I booked at this hotel. I suspect I won’t be the last. The hotel would get 1* from me based on the booking error and the manager, but it deserves more than that. It has a tram stop in front, making it easy to get to the tower or pleasure beach. The renovated room I stayed in was pleasant with a view of the seafront. Breakfast (sometimes a hot buffet, sometimes cooked to order from the menu) was good. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was stellar and we had no problems charging our EV. Our Junior suite was perfect and the bed was quite comfortable after a long day of travel. Cheers from Canada!!"

"It’s a lovely old building with lots of character. Definitely needs some TLC but we enjoyed our short stay. Didn’t see the entertainment so can’t comment on that. Staff were ok but probably a bit lacklustre, the lady who checked us in for breakfast was nice, the bar tender was pleasant. Check in staff could have been more cheerful and welcoming. However would definitely come again. Breakfast was good."
