"The location is great, walking distance to metro, and other public transportation. At the time we arrived, they were doing some construction so we couldn’t appreciate the main lobby and surrounding areas. The room a nice size, clean, small refrigerator, coffee maker. The only problem that we get charged to keep our bags/suitcases when our room was not ready, obviously we weren’t going to be all our town hauling them. Other than that, we’re pleased we our stay."
"Really great hotel, with excellent staff, and a fantastic breakfast that will set you up for the entire day. The 5-7 minute walk to the subway goes through a sketchy neighbourhood that is essentially the "projects". Dudes sitting in chairs on the street playing music, doing push-ups in front of convenience store that service a rather "interesting" clientele. BUT...no one bothers you and i walked from the subway with my 13 and 14 year olds and never felt unsafe ot threatened. However, i could see some people feeling intimidated by the neighbourhood if you come from and quiet, middle class neighbourhood."
Home2 Suites by Hilton NY Long Island City/Manhattan View
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay very much. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Home 2 Suites. We did not eat breakfast as we met family early. Staff very friendly and personable. Room size great! Bed not quite as comfortable, however, we were in a queen vs king, room clean, bright and quiet. We also had partial city view which was a sweet surprise!"
"Location is best im America. EVERYTHING is right there. Staff is extremely attentive and excellent workers. They found all kind of perks and things to offer us. Truly above and beyond.
The property is older; needs renovations to bring it to 22 st century with period details. Our compliments to all employees who made us feel welcome and gave us the VIP treatment."
