"We waited at Liberty Airport's special area for hotel shuttles (no taxis), in the heat, for over an hour before Double Tree's shuttle finally arrived, although it is advertised to come every 30 minutes. We tried several numbers to reach the hotel's front desk, but kept getting AI and the same message, even after selecting 0. The desk clerk did not apologize or even acknowledge our frustration. Our bathroom floor was sticky, the tub had visible dirt and the sink was clogged! There were no complimentary short water bottles in the mini fridge. There is a limited assortment of water and snacks next to the front desk that must be added to your room's bill. Be warned that the breakfast buffet is not complimentary, but is expensive. The restaurant's lunch and dinner menu does have variety, though. When we needed extra towels, we called "Housekeeping" and got the front desk instead. We even informed the front desk clerk, in person, before leaving for an event. We only received towels after a housekeeper knocked, late in the day, and said that she never got the message. Expedia should reconsider suggesting Double Tree Penn Station. We obviously, will not be returning!"
