Staff was friendly and accommodating. Checking in and out was very efficient. Location was convenient to a lot of places in New York, especially Central Park. Room was nice and clean upon arrival. Close to the subway station too so made traveling around New York doable.

Great clean spot. It's a bit annoying that you have to share a room but compared to paying hundreds more in Manhattan I think it's way worth it. A little hard to find towels, but everything you need is provided. Laundry machines available for a fee. I was pleasantly surprised to see everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The common areas are nice with lots of lounge space, there's even an outdoor patio area. The room is clean and about how you'd expect. It was a nice touch to have a curtain by your bed for some privacy. The only place that wasn't clean was some toilets but that's probably due to some guests being inconsiderate of others. I would recommend for a hostel.

A great hidden gem especially for those traveling on a budget. NYC has great restaurants but that can get expensive so the cooking facilities are a tremendous asset. The patio, bar/ lounge, pool table are all great amenities

I have been enjoying this Hostel for a long time now and watched as they have made a few tweeks. It's more than a comfortable bed and great shower, with often nice company. There are great tours to take and now there is also a bar for those who like a drink. The bus stops virtually outside from Penn or Central station and if you go over a block you can get a bus to Times Square or in the opposite direction to Harlem. Enjoy your stay whether you are a solo traveller or a family.
