Hotels near National Revolutionary Martyrs' Shrine

"The hotel is decorated in a brightly elegant and at times, gaudy style. It works as an impressive glitzy showpiece. We stayed in a Horizon room with amazing views of the city. I thought the upgrade to the horizon room worthwhile. The room/bathroom was nicely appointed, clean and modern. The beds are nicely firm (my personal preference). The gym was a good - weights, universal machine, and some treadmills/bikes but small. The outdoor pool is large with a deep diving side. (The pool is moderage walk from the main hotel building, but there is also a shuttle). The hotel is situated between 2 Red line stops, however there is a shuttle bus every 20-30min to the YuanShan stop, if you’d prefer instead of walking. We had dinner at the golden dragon (including a Peking duck). The dinner featured gorgeous views of the city as well. I thought the food was satisfying however not amazing or especially memorable. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, although I wish it were an easier walk to the metro stop."

"I stayed here for 6 nights and the hotel was wonderful. The location is convenient for getting around and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops close by. The staff were all very polite, friendly, and happy to help when they could. I will definitely stay again if visiting."

"Propery lacked 5 star qualities in my opinion. - no moisturizing lotion - no free bottled water, only a pitcher that was filled daily - the room safe was tiny, it BARELY fit my 13" laptop diagonally and ended up scratching my laptop edges, this is a big deal to anyone who plans to lock a laptop like me - small bathroom vanity area, can only brush your teeth in this area. Lighting is also poor in the washroom. I had to go out into the hallway near a mirror to shave! Even that lighting was poor but better than the vanity area - no clock radio, sure we all have phones now but I'm used to glancing at a clock radio to see what time it is, not having to bring my phone to bed and leave it on and grab to check the time? - you get 2 fruit once, your first day only - slow wifi internet, also a big disappointment I've stayed at 5 star hotels in Taipei twice in a year before this trip and it had what this property did not give me. If any of these are important to you, I'd look at somewhere else. That's what I will be doing next time. - Nice, friendly staff. It's too bad otherwise."

"Staff are professional and friendly for sign seeing areas and how to get there, hotel is located at a great location- walking distance to metro and restaurants and department stores, property is clean and the buffet is excellent and I would give it a truly five star."

"Location is next to MTR station, night market is 25 minutes walking. Staffs are friendly, helpful. Gym is a bit small. All essential items in the room are available and in good condition. This is my fourth stay in this hotel since 2019."

"The Riviera Hotel was a very pleasant place to stay for 2 weeks. It is centrally located, easy access to MRT and the hotel has a shuttle to the MRT as well at specific times. Many good restaurants and a night market are in walking distance. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean. The staff excellent, friendly, and cheerful. The breakfast which we had included with our rate was very good. Had only 1 issue and that was occasionally I could smell a slight musty odor just in the corner of the room but no where else and the smell didn’t travel into the room and it wasn’t all the time. It may have been that we were on the top floor and there is a roof garden? I sometimes smelled the same smell in the 7th floor seating area outside of the elevators. I never smelled it on the other floors. If I were to return to Taipei I would definitely stay there again but would ask for a different floor. We were very pleased with our choice to stay there. A side note, the pastry shop connected to the hotel is a great place to grab a latte and also their pineapple cakes make a perfect gift. They are packaged beautifully and taste so good. You can order and pick up right before you leave as they are fresh and are best eaten within 2 weeks. "

"二泊三日で予約。チェックイン時刻より早目に着いても荷物を預かって貰えます。（男性受付スタッフ日本語上手で丁寧です）ただ、その後チェックインをして部屋へ行ったら別の人が入っていてビックリ、受付でそのことを伝えるとチェックインしている人の部屋を案内されていました。今どき考えられないミスですが、受付の人は悪気も無く少し笑いながら日本語で「すみません」だけを言ってさっと新しい部屋カードを渡しました。（女性受付スタッフ、日本語が雑）部屋は綺麗に掃除をされていましたが、空調設備が最悪で説明を見ながら操作しましたが作動せず、寒くて結局は電源を切って寝ました。また夜中の2時から3時の間ですが、左右の部屋なのか前の部屋なのか出入りが激しくドアの開け閉めの騒音が酷かったです。8階のラウンジは感じが良く、ゆっくりとコーヒーとアイスを朝はトーストを食べました。8階のラウンジサービスが無ければリピートは無しですが、ラウンジサービスが継続していれば有りかと（笑）"
