Staff was very kind as we were allowed to wait for a few hours until our bus came. My highlight was the bath as it was a very traditional experience with the yukata!"

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"Check in was a little sketchy, I struggled to find the right door at first and keypad. And when I got into my room, I didn't realize the door would lock behind me when I left. "We absolutely loved our stay at Kasuitei Ooya. The whole vibe and decor of the ryokan (room and building overall) was very calming and captivating. The breakfast and dinner provided was phenomenal and everything we ate was fresh. The beds were tad bit less comfy then what we have previously experienced with japanese futons but rest assured, they are still very comfortable to sleep on. The staff were all super friendly,helpful and very accomodating to our needs. We are very greatful for this experience and would certainly stay here again if given the opportunity."
