"A beautiful hotel in an incredible location, with lovely spa facilities that are worth a visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. That said, for a hotel of this calibre, we did notice a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. Small touches — like having the tea tray refreshed without needing to ask — are the kind of details that elevate a stay, and we found ourselves having to prompt for these. Breakfast was enjoyable, though it’s worth being aware of the pricing, which appears to be higher for hotel guests than the non-resident rate displayed on the menu — something we only noticed after a rushed checkout due to a family emergency. The spa is a real highlight and a beautiful space. One thing to note is that the check-in process there operates independently from the hotel, requiring you to re-enter your details on arrival. For a property of this standard, a more joined-up guest experience would feel more fitting. Overall, a genuinely lovely hotel in an idyllic setting. With a little more attention to the finer details, it could be exceptional"

"Arrived early as no traffic on drive. Asked about early check-in and said rooms not ready, come back later and maybe. Asked if room would have a view (booked 6+ months earlier). No but for 65 pounds more yes. Also we could let them know at check-in as lots available. Went and asked at 2:00 room ready-not yet. Went and asked at 2:30. Your room doesn’t allow you till 3:00. Not a good 1st impression "

"Small double room with a perfect sea view. Our room was very clean and comfortable but could a done with a new window and a paint job. They is a bar and lounge area with a nice view, but we didn’t visit it. Parking behind the hotel but limited and you need to book it in advance. There is a lift up to the 2nd floor which is a blessing if you have lots of luggage. The staff are polite and welcoming. Ideal location to visit the town and beach a stones throw away! We didn’t have breakfast but it was £12 and you need to book before the night. Complimentary tea and coffee and milk and sugar and built in soap and body wash dispensers. Great value st £100 a night for a double with sea view. Could have done with more space by the wi how to admire the view in our room."
