"The location is perfect for getting to any of the attractions and to restaurants. The owner is very attentive, kind and helpful. Our room was cozy and inviting, the bed comfortable, great shower. I would stay here again!"

"Staff was very attentive and helpful. We did not have breakfast at the place, but they did offer breakfast for 10 euros. The bathroom shower doors could use some renovating. Also, the path to get to the reception area, around the back of the restaurant, looks like an abandoned alley way. There was debris collected to the side of the building, it didn't give the building a good aspect. This is why I gave it a rating of 4 and not 5. I do want to mention the terrific italian restaurant, Fatto. We went there for dinner and went back for lunch the next day. Everything we ate was delicious. There were four of us, we each ordered something different, and we taste tested everything. The pasta, the raviolis, the calzonne, the lasagne,the bread, the pizza, everything was delicious!!!!! Highly recommemd this restaurant."

"This is basic accommodations so if you’re looking for upscale..keep looking. That said it feels safe, it’s clean and the location is perfect The rooms are stark but have the basics. There is plenty of hot water and enough dishes for a decent meal. The restaurant up the street (The Raposa) is fabulous…food was our best meal in Sintra There’s no parking but the bus /train station is close enough to walk to with suitcases All in all…it’s good value for the money"

"Beautiful building and swimming pool a short walk up hill from the old town. The breakfast was spectacular. My room was very small with only a bed a very small table and side chair but the common areas in the hotel were spacious and empty. The staff was very nice."

"Aside from arriving early and a bit of confusion with the front enterance our stay was beautiful, unique and wonderful. We loved being in Sintra when the tourists had not arrived yet for the day; it made us appreciate its beauty and the special aspect of staying in town all the better. The hotel met our expectations and added an extra special quaint aspect to our trip to Portugal."

"Oldest hotel in Portugal I am told. The location can't be beat. The hotel offers a very quaint historical experience with basic modern amenities. The desk staff is very accommodating. It was some of the best I have experienced. Parking is a tough issue; but the staff helped tremendously. Sintra is not a town for cars. Price was very reasonable. I would stay again."
