Overall I really liked the property. It is a little pricey for one person but the location is great. It was also cool that each room had a bit of history and person associated with it.

I understand this isn’t a luxury hotel and just a simple BandB. It’s fairly old, peeling wallpaper, dusty and dirty room with moulds in the shower. Not the end of the world but if there were better options in Sintra we likely would have moved. Just hard to relax when things are so dirty.

This is charming old property with a personal touch. The staff are lovely and helpful, and the house is full of character and - within the inevitable limits of an ancient building - well appointed. Very comfortable beds and effective (and needed!) aircon. The location is wonderful, although coming to Sintra by car is a mistake! Taxis and Uber are plentiful and cheap. I would leave the car behind next time.
