"This is an upscale, beautiful hotel. We stayed here for 1 night pre 12 night cruise and it was the best experience. Incredible service/amenities/linens and we had a large room facing the cruise terminal, ...so we could actually see our cruise ship in port the night before. We added on the executive lounge package and I'm glad we did. The snacks and drinks in the lounge were all needed for dinner. (So much more than just snacks) The buffet breakfast on the top floor had an incredible selection, was delicious and had a stunning view. After a busy 19 days touring around Japan, this was the perfect way to slow down before our cruise. The taxi to and from the International cruise terminal was just $1000 Yen. (We also booked our post cruise airport shuttle through the hotel to Narita airport-1/3 the price that the cruise ship was asking for the same service!-They also gladly stored our luggage for the day while we took a river boat trip-our flight heading home wasn't until the evening). "Wow this hotel! We stayed in 3 of the Royal Park Iconic hotels whilst in Japan and the Tokyo one was our favourite. Amazing rooms, lounge access with drinks and food. We loved it. Staff friendly and professional "

"Rooms were decent size, but carpet and furniture are dated. Hotel is to be torn down later this year and property is being redeveloped. Hotel restaurants are very expensive and immediate area does not have many dining options. You have to go to the backside of Shinagawa station for more restaurants. Station is convenient to get around Tokyo. It is quite an uphill walk to the hotel, especially with luggage. However, there is a hotel shuttle, but you have to board at the Prince Hotel. Area around the station is under major construction, a bit unsightly."

"This was my first stay at an Intercontinental hotel, needless to say I will definitely be returning. From the beginning of my arrival to the check out, I was treated like a king by all the staff. I didnt have to lift a finger getting my luggage from my cab to my room or my room to the airport. Check in was seamless. The daily breakfast buffet was delicious with so many options, the teppanyaki restaurant, incredible, steakhouse delightful. The sushi spot also to die for. Especially the matcha shaved ice. The Mixx lounge served great cocktails and was a awesome place to chat with other travelers. My room was very comfortable and well equipped. Granted coming from the States it will seem smaller than what we are used to but in Japan its all about quality over quantity. Everything in this resort is well thought/planned out. That's how nice this place is. I didnt even want to leave my hotel to explore Tokyo. I highly recommend this hotel, great value for the amount spent."
