This is a gem! Fantastic value for money as far as I am concerned. Beautiful room, great restaurant menu and on Saturday they have a DJ liven up their cocktail bar. Free parking on sundays, easy parking in the near vincinity. They welcome pets for a reasonable fee and the staff was super welcoming. They have recently opened and are super aware of some minor issues, but they adrewsed them perfectly. I also found out that De Bij, in the past, was called De Mug, which was my elderly mum’s favorite hangout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

This is a small, unique hotel. They're still starting up, which means that some things are still being figured out, but also that everything is newly renovated!

We met by the proprietor of the hotel and his family on arrival who were all delightful and most helpful, in making us feel welcome, accompanying us to our room when we first arrived! My relatively new partner and I were somewhat surprised to find an open toilet (separated by only a semi frosted glass screen) Neither of us thought this was acceptable in a hotel room, additionally, neither of us feel comfortable enough to use such an indiscreet toilet facility in what was ostensibly an extension of our bedroom and sleeping quarters. We felt uncomfortable to complain as the owners were so pleasant and were obviously proud of their establishment and our room! There was an additional €25 charge for the dog, having searched your app for pet friendly hotels in Middelburg, which we did not mind paying but had no knowledge of this additional payment when we booked on your site! It was not until late in the evening we found the TV was damaged and consequently an annoyance to watch! Bedside light switches did not work meaning lights could not be extinguished from the comfort of the bed, a must nowadays, I’m sure you’ll agree!

Helaas had expedia ons laten geloven dat we een kamer hadden geboekt met douche en bad. Dit bleek eenmaal in het hotel niet te kloppen. Wel waren ze zo vriendelijk om ons alsnog een kamer met bad en douche te geven, die ook nog eens luxer was dan de andere kamers. Fijn hotel midden in het centrum. Ontbijt was prima, genoeg voor met zijn tweeën.

het ontbijt was wel vers, maar er was steeds te weinig brood, dan waren er weer geen borden. 1 soort brood, dus geen bruin of volkoren. konden niet zelf koffie pakken. Personeel was wel vriendelijk. geen verse jus.
