This is an absolutely beautiful “Boutique” Hotel overlooking the main canal going through Middelburg. The train station is on the other side of the canal offering easy access to hotel and bike rentals. The rooms and entire hotel were spotless with modern spacious rooms. Nice buffet breakfast with dining room also overlooking the canal. We enjoyed the outside on street patio with heaters which were perfect to sit out at night. Eduard the owner and his daughter make the Hotel feel warm & friendly. This Hotel with all it’s amenities and location is the Perfect place to stay in Middelburg.

At first we were upgraded to a bigger room where you could hear the escalator despite having requested a quiet room. Upon our request we got a room away from the escalator but you still could hear the escalator and people in the other rooms and in front of the room.

Kamer was erg warm, we hebben om een extra ventilator gevraagd maar dat kon schijnbaar niet. Lift was kapot gedurende ons verblijf, er werd niet aangeboden koffers naar boven te brengen ( we zaten op 3e verdieping). Na 1 dag werkte de keycard niet meer. We moesten zelf maar naar beneden en weer naar boven lopen om opnieuw te activeren. Al met al slechte service. Ook maar 1 handdoek pp op de kamer en zeer verouderde badkamer. Geen shampoo, alleen zeep beschikbaar. Absoluut geen 4 sterren waard.

Das Zimmer war riesengroß und die Matratzen sehr bequem. Die Lage zur Innenstadt Middelburg hervorragend, zu Fuß nur ca. 8 Minuten. Frühstück umfangreich und lecker. Negativ war auf jeden Fall, dass wir trotzdem Treppen steigen mussten, obwohl mein Mann Rollstuhlfahrer ist und ich darum gebeten hatte, ein Zimmer zu bekommen, das mit dem Fahrstuhl zu erreichen ist. Weil der Fahrstuhl aber defekt war, haben wir zwar ein Zimmer im EG bekommen, aber dazu musste er trotzdem 7 oder 8 Treppen steigen. Gut, dass er noch ein paar Schritte laufen kann, sonst hätte es schlecht ausgesehen.

Prima ontbijt,aardig personeel maar. ... Lift defect en niemand bood aan om de koffer naar de derde verdieping te brengen.4 dagen zonder lift, kan dat niet anders? E bike gehuurd van 12 tot 17 uur totaal euro 43.50. Dus , eigen e bike meenemen en dan ook iets om deze aan de lift te koppelen.
