"Love the hotel and the amenities, the only thing is there was not enough railings with stairs to the adult swimming pool making it difficult to get in and out also the stairs inside the pool by the pool bar are curved which is dangerous and hazardous to people who are expecting regular stairs on the beach club area the sand was uncomfortable and dangerous and should be cleaned regularly because there were sharp stones which could have cut my feet if I hadn't been watching where I was stepping even wearing shoes the stones got inside, so wearing or not wearing shoes it was uncomfortable and dangerous The staff who checked us in wasn't very helpful in providing information about the floors the restaurants and amenities were in which made us late to our reservation the 1st night with the staff being rude and saying they would cancel the reservation even though it wasn't clear all of the towers didn't connect The person who restocks the snacks didn't come in daily and so I didn't have creamer and sugar for my coffee every day and they left the door open one day when they restocked the room."

"The property was fantastic. Clean and looking very new. The restaurants were very accommodating and tasty. I do prefer being able to make reservations but the waiting wasn't terrible and there are plenty of things to do while you wait. The entertainment staff were great with the kids and adults and provided great activities, especially Alejandro. Would definitely return for a family vacation!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Velas Vallarta. The resort is excellent with beautiful grounds and spacious suites. Omar and Julio at Andrea restaurant were outstanding — they took great care of us as vegetarians and made our meals fantastic, while the in-suite kitchenette was very convenient. The only downsides were the rude and unhelpful reception staff during check-in, who seemed to play games and lacked transparency, and the beach not being swim-friendly due to the river outflow. On the plus side, tour operator Brenda was fantastic, very helpful, and suggested great excursions. Overall, we highly recommend Velas Vallarta."

"Had a wonderful time, traveling with friends, felt incredibly safe, lots to do on the property with an idyllic beach! Loved the spa, beach yoga, pool power dance and foam party, delicious food, we loved every minute of our stay! The staff took excellent care of us, to name a few, Carolina, Leo, Xochitl, Capitan Jose Luis, and so many more! We’d definitely return!"
