"I spent a week at Belizean Shores to celebrate a milestone birthday and it was everything I was hoping for. I loved how clean and spacious the suites were with lots of room to spread out and relax. It was great to be just steps from the beach and the fabulous pool with the swim-up bar, relaxing hot tub, and the comfy lounge beds. The staff was incredibly welcoming and responsive and promptly took care of anything we needed. Note that it is located on the northern part of the island where there aren’t many amenities so you’ll need to drive about 20 minutes to get to town but this didn’t bother us much and we enjoyed the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Would definitely book here again if we come back. "

"We had a wonderful time at Portofino and we’re already planning our next stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They all know your name by the first day and are genuinely happy to have a conversation with you. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were great sizes and private. We loved hanging out by the pool and walking along the beach. The tour company on the dock was incredible as well and very flexible to your needs and schedule. We enjoyed the smaller and quieter feel you get when staying up north. The resort is about a 35 minute drive from San Pedro, but that was a plus for us. The hotel offers pick up and drop off to the airport and will help you rent a golf cart or call a taxi. They made it very easy for us to explore and get around the island. Portofino provided one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve ever had and we can’t wait to return. "
