"Beautiful Hotel. NO BEACH or Swimming on East side of Caye. Anywhere. Sargassum. Spent a lot of time cruising to west side, but you stop a bunch and see the town, hit all the spots. Hotel was fantastic, not sure how you do it different. "

"The location is excellent, just steps to the beach. The staff were phenomenal and extremely helpful coordinating all aspects of our trip and for that we are grateful. There is a bar/restaurant on site, which is very good, with excellent staff. Unfortunately, at this time of the year, that part of the Caribbean is infested with sargassum seaweed so that area was not swimmable but there were other beaches within a 40 minute drive which were seaweed free. Special mention to James, the owner of the resort as well as Taiz at the front desk for the meticulous manner in which they coordinated our trip and stay plus tours. The rooms were well appointed. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the showers were not optimal, probably an engineering issue in that particular building Overall, we had a great day and would recommend Tres Cocos very highly. "

"The property itself was beautiful but unfortunately at this time of year (early May) there was a lot of sargassum so we did not enjoy the resort's beach. The pool was a nice sub. The food at the local restaurants in San Pedro were better than the resort's restaurant but it was convienent and decent. Important to note that at the resort bar and restaurant they do not sell any hard liquor, only beer and wine. In comparison to another 4 star Belizian resort we had just stayed at, we did feel it was not as luxurious but overall clean, beautiful views, and fun diving experiences available. "

"Basically, everything works at the Mayan. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean with well equipped kitchens, and while it’s not in the least bit luxurious, it’s very nice. Reaching for just a couple of small complaints, there’s a bad odor on the lane outside the only entry/exit, and you have to knock on the window at the entrance if you want the water turned on so that you can rinse the sand from your feet. But, hey, it’s San Pedro! You could pay a lot more and still not beat the convenience, comfort and friendly character of the Mayan Princess."
