Hotels near Merrian Road Beach

"Location was excellent. Right across the lagoon from Phil Foster park. We went snorkeling right off the back of the property from their own small private beach. Current can get strong but one could easily swim from the hotel to the park at the right time. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had to switch rooms because of a plumbing issue. Rooms are pretty bare bones. Plan to get cozy, the second room we had only had a full size bed.The first room had a queen. Bring your own toiletries. You may want to bring your own beach towels/chairs if you plan to head to other beaches. Very short drive (2-3 minutes) to several local eateries at Ocean Walk shopping center. There are also several other shops for gifts, supplies, clothes, etc. This shopping center is adjacent to the beach on the east side of Singer Island, where you can rent chairs & umbrellas. If you don’t care about a lot of creature comforts and you’re looking just for a place to lay your head at night, I would definitely check this place out.We would stay here again. "

"Completely inaccurate listing. Booked this for 4 people, 2 adults, 2 kids. Showed up to a one bedroom place with a tiny couch. Called the number and they said there should have been an air mattress in the place. I didn’t sign up for an air mattress. Furthermore, The place smelled terrible. The pics were nothing like what was on Expedia. Finally, I get an email from Expedia asking how I enjoyed the ocean view. There was absolutely no view of the ocean unless one has xray vision through a condo high rise. Unless you are a college kid looking for a tile floor to crash on, don’t waste your money on this place. "

"I loved the place, room isn’t super big but it was perfect for what i needed and the room was super clean . Check in was different as there was no office u had ti scan a barcode to a link but it worked out fine and i did have to talk ti someone and that person was extremely nice and helpful "

"Hotel rooms are dated, but clean & spacious. Located directly on the beach & within walkig distance of many shops & restaurants. "

"Front desk staff was friendly and helpful in getting a reduced rate. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Would definitely stay there again if I was back in the area."

"Unfortunately this hotel is poorly managed. We had 2 rooms here for a girls weekend & there are MANY issues with the service. The front desk couldn’t find my reservations when I was checking in. I had to provide info & they recreated the bookings. To name a few other issues, the floors in the rooms are filthy. Housekeeping avoided servicing the room as much as possible. For my 3 night stay, we had one ‘partial’ service. The amenities in the room are not ideal- a cooler that hardly cools anything, few hangers, a shower door that doesn’t allow you to place a mat outside, no garbage in main bath area, hardly any TV channels to choose from as most have become “gray”, community ice without any scoop (sanitation issue/broken glass concerns)…shall I continue? We witnessed staff arguing at the lobby bar. 1 bartender servicing the entire lobby & restaurant. Food in the restaurant did not come out as ordered. Service in lobby/bar was beyond terrible. Trash in common areas as there was nobody working to pick up used items. Our second room wasn’t ready on time & it had cooler issues for my friend’s temperature sensitive medication. Shall I go on? Valet was efficient-the highlight of our trip. Carlos the bellman was friendly. Ritchie and Tyler in the restaurant are friendly & doing the best job they can given the circumstances. Phil at the bar needs more support so he isn’t unhinged. I got a measly resort fee credit. Great location.Too bad because it should be great for the price. "
