"First time visit to the Mayfair Townhouse. I loved the location - close to parks, shops, attractions and public transport. The area also felt very safe.
We had a deluxe room at the back of the hotel so it was quiet, but tight on space, The bed was comfy and bedding was nice. Bathroom was fab.
Doormen at the front are friendly, courteous and quick to offer help. At both check-in and on leaving I found reception staff to be almost disinterested, no welcome on arrival, or if we needed help with our weekend plans. Nobody asked if we’d enjoyed our stay when we checked out.
We enjoyed some drinks in Dandys bar on our first night. Both cocktails were ok but there is such choice of restaurants and cool bars within a short walk of the hotel that we strolled out the next evening.
We didn’t stay for breakfast - a 5 minute walk took us to a few decent breakfast / coffee spots.
Overall we enjoyed our weekend, even though we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel it was lovely to have somewhere cosy to return to after a day’s sightseeing."
